The EKCREF Foundation, dedicated to advancing medical knowledge and education, proudly recognized the top three orthopaedic resident papers presented at the 17th International Symposium on Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Trauma: “Meeting of the Minds”, held at Hotel Holiday in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on June 6, 2026.
The symposium was part of the 16th Days of BHAAAS in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a multidisciplinary gathering organized by the Bosnian-Herzegovinian-American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS).
Award Recipients
1st Place (300 KM) Dr. Avdo Kurtović, Dr. Adnan Kesetović (Clinic for Orthopaedics and Traumatology, University Clinical Center Tuzla, BiH). Presentation: “Outcomes of complex total knee arthroplasty – A series of challenging case ”.
2st Place (200 KM) Dr. Kenan Ćustović (Clinic for Orthopaedics and Traumatology, University Clinical Center Tuzla, BiH). Presentation: “Role of Biology and Cell Therapies in Fracture Nonunion”.
3rd Place (100 KM) Dr. Hajrudin Pašalić (University Clinical Center Sarajevo, BiH). Presentation: “3D printing and personalized implants in modern orthopeadics”
